  • 4 plant-based chicken breasts or cutlets (soy- or pea-protein based)
  • 1 can cream of chicken-style soup Use vegan version if desired.
  • 1 packet onion soup mix Ensure it's dairy-free.
  • 1 cup vegetable broth Use low-sodium if preferred.
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley (optional) For garnish.

Method
 

Preparing the Dish
  1. Place plant-based chicken into the crockpot in a single layer.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together cream-style soup, onion soup mix, and vegetable broth until smooth.
  3. Pour gravy mixture evenly over the plant-based chicken.
  4. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours.
  6. Once tender, shred or break apart the plant-based chicken directly in the gravy.
  7. Stir well to coat evenly in thick savory gravy.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For deeper flavor, sauté plant-based chicken first. Do not overcook to prevent dryness. Optional additions include mushrooms for richer gravy taste and a splash of plant-based cream for extra richness.
